Am I ready?
As I prepare to return to Asia for a little over 2 years, I constantly have to ask myself, "Am I ready?" Ultimately, I can never really be adequately prepared for what I will experience, learn, and do, but I have to make every effort to get ready - physically, mentally, spiritually...
This weekend, I am going to visit with my sisters' families in Missouri, and I am excited to see them and hang out over the 4th of July holiday weekend. Then, the next week and a half, as I prepare to return, I will spend time with friends and make final preparations.
Most importantly, I am trying to have some time with my parents. As you know, my dad's health has not been the best since I've been back in the States. However, God is good, and He has been healing his body. Currently, my dad is doing quite well, and he will begin his final major treatments next week - localized radiation on the area of his left leg that contained the tumor. Please pray for my dad's health and continued healing and for my mom as she so faithfully cares for him. Please also continue to pray for me as I prepare to return to Asia.
