Penang, Malaysia – Destination #9

Penang is an historic island, with a long colonial and maritime history.
My friend Jerry is a really great Christian brother, and he showed me around the northern Malaysian island, including the BEACH! Yeah! I love the ocean!
While most Indians in Malaysia are Hindu, there is a small percentage of Christians among them. It was a privilege and a blessing to visit a Tamil speaking Indian church while on the island! In the midst of worshipping with them, the Lord brought to mind a dear Christian Indian sister, Dr. Violet, who recently went home to join the eternal reunion with our Lord! The eyes of my heart saw her worshipping before the Lord with those who have gone before us...May her love of others and impact on so many lives continue forever!
While Sun, Zhongshan was in Penang, he made his base at this traditional style home. Recently, there was a movie about Dr. Sun Yat-Sen filmed in Penang, and they used this house as one of the sets.
